Gardening season is in full swing! Throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen an increased interest in gardening and landscaping and the questions continue to flow in. With this increased activity comes a demand for educational information. In an attempt to try to provide research-based information to the community to fill this demand, we will be offering a new monthly program called, Garden Talks!
The monthly Garden Talks program will be held at the UF/IFAS Jefferson County Extension Office (2729 W. Washington Hwy. Monticello, Fla 32344) from 10-11:30 AM EST on the 2nd Friday of each month. The program will feature an educational session on a different gardening and landscaping topic each month. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to be a successful gardener. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions!
Garden Talks Schedule:
• Growing Tomatoes - May 14
• Composting - June 11
• Insects in the Garden - July 9
• Turf Grasses - August 13
