Update of comp plan will cost at least $73,300

It’s going to cost Jefferson County $73,300 in consultant fees to get the comprehensive plan updated.
County Manager Shannon Metty presented the Jefferson County Commission with the proposal from the Planning Collaborative (TPC) on Thursday evening, Dec. 21. The TPC is headed by Allara Mills Gutcher, a certified planning professional on contract to the county.
Per the proposal, the local comprehensive plan, which was last updated in 2012, requires changes to bring it into compliance with current state laws and other requirements implemented since its last revision.
