Update of comprehensive plan is underway

Sometime this month or next, the Jefferson County Planning Commission should continue its review of the revised and updated comprehensive plan, an overarching document that envisions the county’s future 20 years hence and provides a roadmap for getting there.
The planners began the process in mid-November, with consultant planners Allara Mills-Gutcher and Allison McGrath, who drafted the changes, walking them through the process. Also assisting the two consultant planners was intern Cody Tilman, an urban and regional planning graduate at FSU.
Florida law requires that communities evaluate their comprehensive plans every seven years, and if warranted
