This year, I am especially excited about the Vacation Bible School (VBS) that we will have on Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the regular VBS week will not happen at Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC). Churches in Jefferson and Leon counties will instead join together for one big “Virtual Bible School."
This year's VBS program will look different from the normal; however, this will be a week that will be a blessing to local churches and children.
Each morning at 9 a.m., children will be able to watch the VBS' opening rallies and interact with others through the comment forum online.
Each day, there will be a time for snacks, recreation time, music, crafts, Bible lessons and more.
A supply list will be sent out to parents who register their child to participate so that they can pick up the craft items that will go along with the videos provided.
The lessons and video teachings that will be broadcasted during this unique VBS program have been promised to be the "best teaching and information that our children will receive this year."
Registration for Virtual VBS is now open. To register your child, visit VBSTLH.com. Be sure to list EBC Monticello as your church.
There is no cost to register.
Once your family has been registered for VBS, send an email to Brian Saylor at brian@ebcmonticello.com to confirm your participation.
Once you have registered, you can also join the Facebook page listed as VBS TLH. There will be special giveaways and other information posted on this group page.
Although VBS will look different this year, it can still have the same impact on local youth.
Invite those close to you to have a "Watch Party" at your home and stream the fun videos and lessons live.
We can still share the good news with our neighborhoods' kids and friends.
