Veterans Day Parade on Saturday at 11 a.m.

This Saturday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day, when we pay tribute to all American veterans – living or dead – to thank them for serving our country whether during war or in peacetime. Monticello's American Legion Post 49 offers two special events for Veterans Day: breakfast at 8 a.m. and the Veterans Day Parade at 11 a.m. Veterans Day events kick off on Saturday with a delicious breakfast, served at 8 a.m. at American Legion Post 49, located at 1065 S. Water St. The breakfast is free and open to the entire community. The menu includes scrambled eggs, grits, fruit and biscuits and gravy. No reservations are needed. Just show up!
