VFW Post 251 names their Teacher of the Year

Bobbi Pinkard, a kindergarten teacher at Pinetta Elementary School (PES) was recently honored by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 251, which represents Madison, Jefferson and Leon counties, as their Teacher of the Year. This honor comes in addition to the Madison County School District Teacher of the Year award she received in 2023. The award was announced during a presentation by the VFW on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Madison County Superintendent of Schools Shirley Joseph also made the announcement during the regular meeting of the Madison County District School Board later that day.
