Girls who are enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to a special Somerset Volleyball Academy, beginning Monday, April 15.
The volleyball academy will include 16 sessions between April 15 and May 28.
Two times a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays, the participants will learn the fundamentals and basics of volleyball in a safe, supervised environment.
The academy will be held in the Jefferson Somerset gym, from 3:30 p.m. until 4:45 p.m.
The cost for this special volleyball academy is $80.
Pre-registration is required as space is limited and payment must be received before the young athlete attends the first session.
No drop-ins will be accepted.
The academy will go over various drills and movement trainings to help students learn how to play volleyball on the court.
Rising sixth graders who participate will also be able to prepare for the Middle School Tiger Volleyball team try-outs.
This hour and a half class will provide young girls with an atmosphere of fun, games and friendship while building team traits, strength and skill.
For more information about this volleyball academy, contact Head Tiger Volleyball Coach Alesha Dunlap at (850) 997-3555 ext. 305, or by emailing Coach Dunlap at somersetvolleyball@gmail.com.
