With the upcoming General Election approaching on Tuesday, Nov. 8, Jefferson County voters are reminded that the early voting period is also quickly approaching, as is the deadline for voter registration. Those wishing to vote who have not yet registered to vote in Jefferson County have until Tuesday, Oct. 11, to do so. Early voting in Jefferson County for the General Election begins on Monday, Oct. 24, and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 5. Voters wanting to cast their ballot early should go to the Jefferson County Elections Office, located at 1175 W. Washington St., between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, precincts will be open for voters to cast their ballots from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
