Walker memorial in the works

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. Plans for the erection of a memorial near the Wacissa River for the late Commissioner Stephen Walker continue to move forward. County Manager Shannon Metty informed the Jefferson County Commission on Thursday, April 18, that signs had been ordered to place alongside State Road 59 near the entrance to the Wacissa River Park in honor of Walker, who was killed last October in an auto accident. Metty described the signs as being of the standard type used by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
