The potent Wakulla High School offense amassed nearly 500 yards of offense as the Jefferson Somerset Academy Tigers' record dropped to 2-4 after they were shut out, 45-0, by the War Eagles on Friday, Oct. 8, in Crawfordville, Fla.
The War Eagles took advantage of numerous Tiger turnovers to score early and often in the contest. By the time the first period ended, the War Eagles had a commanding 21-point lead. The War Eagles added to that lead with another 17 points in the second quarter to take a 38-0 advantage into halftime. The second half moved quickly with a continuously running game clock. The War Eagles added seven more points in the early moment of the final period to put the Tigers away, 45-0.
The Tigers will be on the road again on Friday, Oct. 15, when they face the Pirates of Sneads High School. The Pirates have a record of 4-2, and are coming off a 41-6 win over Patula Charter Academy from Edison, Ga. Sneads High School is located at 8066 Old Spanish Trail, in Sneads, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
