Warriors defeat Eagles

The Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) Warriors tallied nearly 300 yards rushing on their way to a hard-fought, 17-6, win against the Eagles of Oak Hall Academy, from Gainesville on Friday, Aug. 30. It was the home opener for the Warriors.
Tag Williams went six-for-10 passing with 67 yards through the air and two interceptions. Williams also added 59 yards rushing on 10 carries with two rushing touchdowns. Jared Grant led the Warriors' rushing attack with 122 yards on 16 carries. Defensively, Hunter Hughes had seven tackles, including one tackle-for-loss. James Hightower was named the Defensive Player of the Week for his seven tackles. Grant was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Williams was named the Warrior of the Week.
Next up for the Warriors will be a road game against the Wolves of St. Francis Catholic School, from Gainesville. The Wolves have a 1-1 record and are coming off a 22-6 win over Joshua Christian Academy, from Jacksonville. St. Francis Catholic School is located at 4100
