The Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) Warriors varsity football team had a victorious outing for their “Kickoff Classic” preseason game on Friday, Aug. 18, when they hosted the Trojans of Fullington Academy, from Pinehurst, Ga. The Warriors came from behind to post 20 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 20-7 win over the Trojans.
The Warriors posted 113 yards on the ground, led by Josh Anger, who had 48 yards on 12 carries, with one rushing touchdown. Agner also had 42 yards receiving on two pass completions. Ethan Bass went five-for-11 passing for 86 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Defensively, Jaden Levengood led with 10 total tackles.
Agner was named the Offensive Player of the Game. Eli Conrad and Levengood were selected the Co-Defensive Players of the Game. Rhett Jacobs and Hunter Davis were named the Co-Scout Team Players of the Week.
The Warriors will host the Knights of Halifax Academy on Friday, Aug. 25, at Warrior Field, on the ACA campus. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
