The Aucilla Christian boys basketball team is now officially 1-2 on the season, after picking up their first win against the Countryside Christian Minutemen, on Friday, Dec. 11.
After losing their first matchup against the Minutemen in their first game of the season, the Warriors fought hard to redeem themselves in their second matchup. Tensions ran high in the Friday night game, but the Warriors kept their poise and came out on top by a score of 55 to 41.
Will Sullivan led the Warriors in points, with 19; rebounds, with 18; steals, with six; and blocks, with one. Tyler Slaughter also had a good night, racking up 15 points and five assists. Jared Grant followed closely behind Sullivan in rebounds, with 11.
The Warriors were scheduled to play their fourth game of the year on Monday, Dec. 14, but due to COVID-19 complications for the opposing team, the game was cancelled.
