The Aucilla Warriors’ winning streak came to an end Friday night. ACA came into the contest on a 12 game regular season winning streak that went back to last season. ACA took it on the chin in a 43-14 drubbing at home, at the hands of the Munroe Bobcats. ACA falls to 3-1 overall on the season and is 1-1 in their division, which is still good enough for ACA to maintain their first place standing in the division. ACA is in fourth place in 2 A Region 1 football, according to maxpreps.com.
This week, Friday Oct. 9, ACA goes on the road to Rocky Bayou Christian, a team that is struggling at 0-3. Averaging 9.3 points a game, RBC will have their work cutout for them to stop ACA who, despite their loss last week, still has a 31.5 point per game average. However, having a record of 0-3 makes a team hungry for a win, so ACA shouldn’t think of this game as an automatic cake walk.
Notable offensive stats were:
• Brady Browning completed 4/8 for 166 yards
• Tripp Joyner caught 2 passes for 89 yards
• Jared Grant ran for 30 yards
On the defensive side of the ball:
• Will Sullivan had 16 tackles with one tackle for a loss (TFL)
• Jared Grant had 13 tackles
• Liam Mediate had 5 tackles and blocked a point after touchdown (PAT)
• Gannett Fulford had 11 tackles
