Doing some reading this week on the Senate website, I saw that the party breakdown is as follows:
Democrat: 48
Independent: 2
Republican: 50
Not being the product of either an outcome-based or common-core education, I realize 50 is more than 48. Yet for some reason, the democrats are the majority. The majority leader is a democrat. I realize that Sens. Sanders and King are really democrats (or “democrat socialist” for the former) and “caucus” with the democrats, but the letter after their name is not a D. That should mean something, but it apparently does not when using Washington’s math.
It’s no wonder these same folks and their counterparts in the House cannot balance a budget if they cannot even figure out 50 is more than 48.
