Last weekend, the Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) Class of 2020 graduated from their alma mater high school and took their first step towards a bold and bright future.
Due to COVID-19, the school had to make changes to their typical graduation ceremony, such as limiting attendance and hosting the ceremony outdoors. While not everyone was able to attend this celebration of graduation and accomplishment, the ACA administrative staff have made the ceremony viewable virtually through their YouTube channel.
Friends, extended family members and ACA supporters can view the 2020 Aucilla Christian Academy Graduation by visiting Aucilla Christian on YouTube.
The video is almost an hour long and includes all of the graduation events, including an opening prayer and a message from ACA Principal Richard Finlayson, “We are thankful, so thankful, to have this opportunity to come together and celebrate this group of people...and to be able to let them know how much we appreciate them and how proud we are of them,” said Principal Finlayson to the gathered graduates and their families on Saturday, May 23.
The graduation video also features the speech given by the ACA's Valedictorian Jason Hamilton and Salutatorian Brandon Hannon.
Finally, the video shows each 2020 ACA graduate coming to the stage and being presented with their well-earned high school diploma.
