Watermelon Festival events for June 6-7

Laura Young  ECB Publishing, Inc.  Watermelon Festival royalty were crowned last weekend, and the line-up of festival fun continues for two more weeks, from Friday, June 6, through Saturday, June 14, organized by the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.  Coming up this weekend is the official festival kickoff on Friday evening, June 6, which has been expanded this year into a full-on block party on Mulberry Street. Then on Saturday, June 7, it's the Kiwanis Watermelon Run
