
Watermelon Festival plans are rolling

It's time for kid artists, vendors, classic car buffs, parade participants, pageant hopefuls, bed racers, photo snappers, pickle ball competitors and 5K runners to start things rolling toward the 2025 Watermelon Festival. The 74th Annual Watermelon Festival – organized by the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce since 1949 – promises loads of small town fun for the entire family. This year there are eight days of festivities beginning with pickle ball on May 17-18 and culminating with most events over June 13-14.
