WCTV finally gets to work on illegally possessed guns

On May 23 I saw an extensive story about gun violence in Tallahassee on the WCTV website. Reading the story, I see WCTV has “worked for months” for several areas around Tallahassee and came to the conclusion these gun criminals were often using stolen guns they easily obtained from unlocked cars. Bravo, it’s about time. Back in 2019, I studied Tallahassee’s fatal gun violence from 2017 through 2019 (until Marsy’s law prevented the release of victim data) based upon public reporting. Much of this reporting was on WCTV’s site. One thing I noticed was that nearly all of the gun criminals were convicted felons or otherwise ineligible to possess a gun, yet somehow they managed to g
