The Florida Farm Bureau recently hired their new district agent, Hannah Love. Currently a resident of Alachua, Love intends to move to Suwannee County soon.
Love says she has always had a passion for agriculture. As a matter of fact, this is what ultimately led her to major in Agriculture Communication and Education at the University of Florida. She expressed gratitude to her family and friends for supporting her dreams and goals in life.
Since Tuesday, Sept. 1, Love has served as a liaison between the state, federation and county Farm Bureau. She represents 10 counties including; Madison, Lafayette, Suwannee, Hamilton, Jefferson, Wakulla, Gadsden, Liberty, Leon and Taylor.
Love's great uncle, Dennis Emerson was once the assistant to the president of the Florida Farm Bureau before passing away in 2004. Following in her great uncle's footsteps, Love also became involved with the Farm Bureau. Her motive behind pursuing this position came from a love rooted in the bottom of her heart; a love for people and a love for agriculture.
Since assuming her new position, Love hopes to improve on what is already being done for agriculture, and encourage more involvement from the community. She advises the community to stay educated and find ways to be involved, as the agriculture industry is crucial to society. In addition to this, farmers rely on our support to put a roof over their heads and food on their tables.
