What about Christmas songs?

At my previous congregation, one rather faithful member always let it be known she was irked that we only sang “Christmas” songs in late December. That did not stop our song leader from leading the same on the Sunday before the big holiday. She was a little inconsistent in her views, however; I only saw her wear her festive, holiday outfits (and she had several) around that same time frame. There are some Christians who think it is wrong to celebrate some of the holidays popular in our society – like giving gifts at Christmas time, allowing children to go trick-or-treating at Halloween or hunting eggs at Easter.
