What is Veterans Day?

Around this time each year, schools hold programs, towns hold parades, and the brave men and women in uniform join together to celebrate those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This day is called Veterans Day and it happens every Nov. 11 or otherwise known at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
Veterans Day was formerly known as Armistice Day to mark the armistice signed between the allies of World War I and the Germans.
