When to keep your mouth shut: a guide

There are several times in life and perhaps even several times a day where we must check ourselves and prevent harmful words from coming out of our mouths and into the world. While holding our tongues is difficult for us as humans, the Lord has given us guidance through the Word on when to be particularly careful with what comes out of our mouths.
Here are 20 instances in which the Lord specifically instructs us to hold our tongues and watch what we say.
