A limited-space summer camp is reserving 100 spots for Jefferson County families.
This camp, which begins on July 6 and will conclude with its final weekly session on July 31, will explore the natural world of animals through observations, experiments, games, crafts and lessons – all hosted by trained educators with the Manatee Lagoon (in West Palm Beach, Fla.), the Loggerhead Marinelife Center (in Juno Beach, Fla.), the Zoo Miami Foundation and the Museum of Discovery and Science (in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.).
Each week-long virtual class will focus on a different wildlife and environmental topic and theme and lessons are targeted towards children between the ages of six to nine, although other ages are welcome to join in and participate as well.
The space for this camp is limited and registration is required for all participants; parents and legal guardians only need to complete one registration per household.
There will be four week-long camps, and while campers are encouraged to register and attend all of them, families are under no obligation to attend every camp; feel free to pick and choose the camp that best fits your child's interests!
Only 100 Jefferson County families will be able to register for free, and registration for each camp will open 10 days ahead of the weekly session.
To register your family or learn more about the camp, go online at visitmanateelagoon.com/virtual-summer-camp-jefferson-county.
