Workshop on old gym reset for Feb. 6

A scheduled workshop last week to discuss plans for the old high school gym and to solicit public input on what the community would like to see done with the site was cancelled at the last moment because of the inclement weather. Due to the cold temperature, lingering snow and icy road conditions, along with the fact that not one person showed up at the evening meeting to discuss the issue convinced the Jefferson County Commission on Thursday, Jan. 23, to reset the workshop to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6.
